A B O U T U S
A different kind of travel company, built on honesty and human connection.
Slow Tunisia grew from years of exploring this overlooked corner of the Mediterranean — Carthaginian ruins that predate Rome, Berber villages clinging to desert cliffs, medinas where the call to prayer echoes through thousand-year-old stone.
What we learned was simple: Tunisia is the North Africa that travelers miss. Smaller than its neighbors, quieter, more intimate. From the Roman mosaics of the Bardo to the salt flats of Chott el-Jerid, this is history at human scale.
Slow Tunisia exists for travelers who want to walk where Hannibal planned and where Luke Skywalker filmed. Who prefer a mint tea with a Berber family to another resort beach.
H O W W E W O R K
We don't design trips to look impressive on paper. We design them to reveal a country most travelers never knew existed.
We start with stories, not sites. Tunisia rewards the curious: the underground homes of Matmata, the blue-and-white perfection of Sidi Bou Said, the Roman amphitheater at El Jem that rivals the Colosseum. Each place has layers if you know where to look.
Before you commit, you see exactly what each day involves — the drives through olive groves and desert, the walks through ancient sites, what's included and what's not. If something feels rushed, we slow it down. You book when the journey feels right.
O U R P H I L O S O P H Y
We don't believe in selling exoticism. We believe in creating conditions for understanding — of a culture that bridges Arab, Berber, and Mediterranean, of landscapes that shift from sea to Sahara, of hospitality that insists you stay for one more tea.
Tunisia has its own rhythm, its own way of revealing itself to those who take time. Our job is to open doors while making sure you're comfortable, informed, and free to discover.
Every guesthouse we recommend, every guide we work with, every table we suggest — it's all been experienced by us first. We don't recommend what we haven't lived. We don't promise what we can't deliver.
"We'd rather lose a booking than promise something we can't deliver"

We work with a curated network of Tunisian guides, drivers, and hosts we know personally. If someone doesn't match our standards, we don't keep them in the circle.
